What is Transpersonal Psychology

Transpersonal Psychology considers a wide vision of psychological issues, it includes facets of the human experience and behavior related to a holistic perception of health and well-being. It understands the person as a whole entity influenced by situations affecting different levels, not only psychologically, emotional or mental.

In this sense, it holds a transcendental or spiritual look. A mix between western science and eastern wisdom looking for the realization of human potentials.

Transpersonal Psychology sets a clear focus on Conscience and observation. It is an inquiry into the essential nature of Being

Transpersonal experience

We have transpersonal experiences when we practice techniques which affect the conscience and, thanks to them, we perceive a wider vision of our identity that is, clearly, beyond individuality and personality. These experiences symbolize an essential aspect of the human nature that is needed to be taken into account in psychological models.

To experience a big catharsis is not needed, it is simply by finding a connection between your essence and everything that affects you and surrounds you, everything that creates you and that is also created by you. It is a question of being able to let go the feeling of separation or division in order to hold the unity (you are part of everything and the feeling of being apart is delusional).

In Transpersonal Therapy ‘labeling’ is not God. Each one is influenced by very unique factors and taking those into account is needed. No-one is the same as anyone. Two people can suffer from anxiety for very different reasons and, therefore, you can not treat them in the same way.

Transpersonal Psychology set focus on health and not in limitation or pathology. Rather, it focuses on going beyond the limiting belief in order to be able to live in balance and freedom. Transpersonal therapy goal is to find myself, find who I am, experience self-realization and contentment.

What can I expect from Transpersonal Psychology?

Confidentiality, listening, confidence, personal attention, inner processes recognition, emotional identification, time and space for yourself, respect for your rhythms, therapeutic

techniques, awareness, changes, understanding, transformation, emotion, presence, possibilities…
